Flood

Our first flood!

We woke up on Jan. 30, Kelton's birthday, to the kids telling us that we had water down in the basement. Oh the joys of owning your home. The water was to the top of the baseboards and through out our whole basement. Half finished with carpet, no padding underneath, so that was a little help in getting it cleaned up. Most our stuff was washable or just old papers that probably needed to be thrown away anyway. Boxes got ruined, some yearbooks, but for the most part everything was ok.

I gotta say, I miss being with all our family during the holidays, but having Christmas at home with just us is great. I love being able to watch my kids get so excited about what they got from Ryan and I and from Santa. Yes, they all still BELIEVE!! I love it.

Kemp Weekend in Chicago

Weekend of Dec 1, 2012 we got a surprise from Ryan's parents. Part of our Christmas from them this year. The family came down (adult's only) to Chicago and surprised us. We stayed downtown with them and did a little walking around saturday.

Then Sunday we had tickets to the Bears vs. Seahawks game. Our first NFL game ever! It was alot of fun. We were all geared up to go to the game.

Then later that night we got to go see Andre Bocelli. AMAZING!!!

We had such a wonderful time with everyone. It was sad to see everyone go.

We don't get to see them often but what a wonderful weekend we got to share with you all.

You can see we had to a little switching around. Didn't want the tree to fall over from to many in one spot.

Thanksgiving 2012

We had thanksgiving this year with Annie and Caleb in Ohio. We had alot of fun. We did a hike which was very pretty and the kids did great and we went ice skating. Ryan got to go play football with some guys from their ward, sad Caleb had to miss out.

The turducken! That's right, turkey, duck and chicken with a filling of some sort that was not very good. Well, it was all right but I like my traditional turkey. Everything else though was delicious.

BYU Game

BYU vs. Notre Dame Oct. 20,2012

We were lucky to get tickets to go this game. We went with some good friends Jesse and Erin Hartigan. We had a lot of fun sitting in Notre Dame territory and cheering for BYU.
